Ideal for weed control in fields. Hairy vetch contains a component called cyanamide, which has the effect of suppressing many weeds that grow in fields. Hairy vetch enriches the soil and prevents other weeds from growing, making it a perfect green manure to cultivate when leaving fields fallow in autumn and winter.

Characteristics
* Effectively suppresses weed growth through allelopathy. Highly effective as ground cover in orchards.
* Grows well even in shade and is adaptable to most soils as long as drainage is good.
* Highly adaptable to soil conditions, can grow in pH 4.9-8.2.
* Vining growth, reaching about 100-200 cm, but when creeping, the plant height is 40-50 cm.

Sowing Period
Intermediate/Warm regions
March - mid-April, mid-September - early November (Flowering from May)
Cool regions
April - early May, September - mid-October (Flowering from June)

Sowing Rate
3-5 kg per 10a. After sowing, cover with 3-5 cm of soil and compact.

Fertilizer Standards
Per 10a: 4-5 kg of phosphorus, 4-5 kg of potassium. Nitrogen is generally not necessary. Apply lime to adjust pH to 6-7.

Incorporation Method
Chop into small pieces using a chopper, hammer mower, flail mower, etc., and incorporate into the soil with a plow or rotary tiller. If the crop is small or tender, it can be incorporated directly with a rotary tiller.
